SPOs Kapurthala took voluntary retirement on the eve of 66th Independence Day.

Mr Kulbhushan Kakkar, Supdt Post Offices Kapurthala was relieved of the charge on 14th August 2013 after the acceptance of voluntary retirement notice by the Directorate. It is the high time that Administration must introspect, rethink and keep check over the increasing pressure cooker like environment/situation surrmounting over the Divisional Heads/Incharges of units in this era of transition. A conducive environment is the need of hour to phase out the new challenges. A worker is a worker whatever qualities he posses. Hoped that no one would follow the pursuit. Wishing him a peaceful life ahead.

It is unfortunate Chapter in Panjab Circle. To rethink or introspect is humiliation, may be at the cost of...
ideology cannot be changed because it is part of ego.

I pray that he should live peacefully. He should not have to repent on forced decision. No body pass a exam to follow this pursuit?

There is nothing wrong with him. Before passing the examination he should be aware of the all India transferable liability. It was not his right to be posted as per his will. One should see the sacrifice of the members of IP/ASP cadre, who do not hesitate to work at Leh,Srinagar.

This is not a normal exit. It is a emergency exit under impulsion. if any any person uses it, it is it is it in problem. No body likes to break the window panes.Should we feel proud of this unfortunate incident, I pray it may not repeat again.Whether we learn lesions from it.Reasons for it should be analysed to find measures how these things can be avoided. This is high time the Bosses to think on it.

No doubt members of our cadre are certainly with difference. Our two ex members Sh R.K. Joshi and sh parkash Singh worked at Srinagar and Leh. Both the Stations are hard stations, this has been admitted by Postal dte. Our colleagues worked there in minus temperature, worst weather, worst law and order situation. the members of cadre have the abilty to keep the Post Office open 24x7 during curfew bandhs and during hartals

I agree with the anonymous writer that our ex members are supreme. Recently our two members Sh. RK Joshi and Sh. Parkash Singh have come back to Punjab from Srinagar and Leh after playing a successful inning in worst situation. We are really proud of them.

Qualifying of Group 'B' exams was the out standing achievement of Sh Kakkar as none (IP/ASP)has reached up to this stage from 10-15 years in Punjab circle hence he deserves for VIP treatment, which not met to him.

Anonymous persons are doing healthy debate on the issue of voluntarily retirement of Sh. Kulbhushan Kakkar. Every body is making his own guess as a big reason for voluntarily retirement of said Group B officer but no one is caring for the emotions of Sh. Kakkar and even not wishing him for his good health and best wishes for retirement life etc. Anonymous personalities afraid to disclose their identity though they all know very well fact that a Postal officer and a general line official (LSG SPM, HSG, PM Grade-I, II, III etc) have different working life in this Postal department. I feel Sh. Kakkar is a young, dynamic and talented person who had jumped from the cadre of general line to officer cadre at the verge of his age when we all have lot of family responsibilities which can be managed by ourselves only. The working scenario, culture, support from subordinate staff, pressure from superior officer, anonymous complaints, leg pulling by colleagues etc are part of the life of a Postal Officer and above all, separation from family due to frequent transfers and postings in for flung area is a major part of the life of an officer which does not happen often in general line. Sh. Kakkar after jumping in to the cadre of Postal officer from general line, has grasped it properly but could not cop up with the system after serving in this cadre for short period of 3 years only. In this period Sh. Kakkar has seen all ups and downs of the working life of a postal officer hence decided to quit voluntarily by considering it a better option for him and his family. Almighty God showers his blessing all the times on Sh. Kakkar and make him happiest retired person

Being a PS Gp B officer promoted from General line cadre, it may be difficult for him to digest his transfer to far away places. But for IP line PS Gp Officer, or for that matter for all IP/ASP, the transfer to any place be it near or far away is not that much disturbing which will lead to tender VRS.
