Discrimination happens when we treat one age group less constructively than others. It is the team that works. Individually it is easy to condemn and deter an employee while performing his job for the foremost justice for all but it is very difficult to fight for justice. Though there is criticism only for criticism from some little knowledgeable and having vested interest employees on IPASP blogs, that is demoralizing our cause, yet to alleviate and mitigate discrimination, a detailed discussion was held with GS on the minutes issued by Directorate to pacify us. It may give IPs immense pleasure that our GS is of the view that in the interest of IP cadre he is giving a consent letter to Directorate that IPASP association is ready to forgo ASP’s Gazetted Status so that hurdle created by Directorate can be possibly solved. Now with this, it will have to be seen when IPs are placed in GP of Rs.4600/-. The others will get benefit under MACP, BONUS etc.
For other issues such as cadre restructuring and Postmaster cadre we will have to file court cases, the one Punjab Circle association has filed and with honesty won. This was the CAT case that made the Directorate realize that IP have the capacity to bring transformation. It is also the fact that when you try to fight for justice as Punjab association did, you will find yourself subjected to abuse, vilification and anonymous threats. After a court case, a barrage of vicious anonymous tweets comes on blogs, which is the handiwork of one or two self-interested cadre man whose aim is only to defame the IPASP cadre/Association. This humbles Punjab blog into silence fully knowing that attackers have no knowledge of departmental rules, how vacancies are calculated. Our advice to them is to go through all the recruitment rules before commenting on the blog. Rather it will be better if they dare to obtain copy of the note sheets from Dte. where calculation of vacancies originally took place. Everyone will know where the problem was. Our question to them is---why the officers dealing the case at Directorate have revised the vacancies without waiting for copy of the judgment. Why there was no appeal in the higher court of law? The answer to these questions can be easily tracked by obtaining whole note sheet of file where the 32 vacancies were wrongly calculated.
One can launch dormant tirade and anonymous comments on Karnataka blog showing disrespect to their seniors in a coward manner. Such salaried employee may not have respect for their elder colleagues, brothers or parents but it is fact Punjab Circle Association is very happy to see that today’s society is paying respect to a senior respected Anna Hazare whose cause is to eradicate corruption. Once this is done everyone will pay respect to each other, do civil and government work honestly. Accepting bribe is not only the kind of corruption but accepting salary without doing public work, favoritism, nepotism is also a corruption.

Its really a great news that the GS has agreed to give consent letter to the DG regarding merger of IP and ASp cadre. This will bring long pending justice to IPs. The ASps will also benefit through MACP, bonus. The avenues of posting near ones home will also increase with merger of IP and ASP cadre. The association should seek a fixed time frame for implementation of upgradration of GP of IPs to 4600 with the consent letter.

Merger effect should be from 1.1.2006 then only IPOs will get benefit.Merger is good news for both IP/ASP.Both will get benifit.

This is very bad that u r going downwards. One should go up but u down ward . who will say u wise. This wiil be a black decesion. Who have authorised GS to give in writing for merger /surrendering the Status. Shame for all.

Do you want to say that there should be two Associations, one for IP and another for ASP. Mr Anonymous please jump to the conclusion. There would be no problem (except losing Gazetted Status), in lieu of which there would be monetary benefit Rs 4800, Rs 5400, Rs 6600 GP under MACP. Otherwise also IP would get 4600 from 1.1.6. Besides, there would be benefit of postings where there are less number of posts of ASP/IP and the posts are merged.
dear balbir u r child u do n ot know abc.asp will be losing status that was given after long fight.u should not think for urself only. today asp has attestation power, tommorrow he will not ,is this not a demotion.how u will satisfy those persons ,whose documents u have attested.will u say i am demoted now. Balbir Singh is correct.Monetary benifit is important for majority of IPOs/ASPOs not attestation power.Attestation can be done free of cost but BONUS or MACP is better than attestation rubber stamp.If any ASP has more money please donate to NGOs run by Anna or Ramdeo Baba for GOOSD CAUSE. Mr. Anonymous r u jealous for IPOs GP of 4600. If u want Gazetted status u can file cat case later on. First let IPOs get 4600 GP.

One more case also to be pointed out. Hitherto the appointing authority of ASP is CPMG. Minor penalty can be imposed by DPS only. Previously ASP can be charge sheeted by SP. This often leads to harassment by the divisional heads by virtue of personal vengeance etc. When gazetted status loose the ASP will again gone to the previous state i.e, the divisional heads can torture ASPs by way of issuing R-16 charge sheets for simple reasons. Whether the association requires such a situation happen again by merger of IP and ASPs and surrendering Gazetted status ?

We should also think of starting pay for grade pay 4600 .
At present it is Rs 12500 for direct recruits only ss per sixth pay commission report. If same is made available promoted officers also then it will be justice for all.
As direct IP will getting 12500+4600=17100 as starting pay and a PA Passed IP exam in immediately after 5 years get only 9300+4200 =13400 only
If this can also be addressed at this point it is a real benifit
other wise it is a great loss and in-justice for departmental PAs who are passed IP's
