VACANCIES FOR Sr.POSTMASTER EXAM NOTIFIED

Following vacancies have been declared by the Postal Directorate for Sr. Postmaster Examination scheduled to be held on 31.12.2011.
Year            OC        SC       ST      Total

2011             68         13       06         87

The department is holding examination violating all provisions of the PS Gr B Rectt Rules 1987. Moreover the department has not considered the options already obtained from PS Group “B” officer that is violation to Postmaster recruitment rules. It is not known where these optees will be adjusted if all the 87 posts are filled through LDCE. Most interesting point here is that only 107 IPs are eligible for 87 post. It is not known how many of them will appear.Five Circles are such where no one is eligible.

Dear Harimohan ji,

These are some points which can be reproduced in the countet.

1.For PM-I grade exam PA with grade pay 4600 can elligible to appear for GP-2800,then why IP cadre with 4600 not eligible for 4800 (more grade pay).Higher GP can appear for lower GP(PM-I) why not in our case.
2.These 87 posts diverted from the promotional quota from PSS Group-B exam wherein IP/ASP are eligible to appear.why not ASP eligible now?
3.whether screeing committee has been held for those officers from Gr-B officers opted for.If not why? If held when? Then 87 (all posts became vacant)
4.In PM cadre notification it was written that IP cadre with 6 years regular service eligible to appear ,there is no mention of GP.Moreover IP/ASP are IP cadre. On that basis PA with all GP were eligible to appear PM-I exam.
5.Where from 87 posts derived? whether from 75%,19%,6%.If that is true Punjab CAT judgment not violated? Then it should be contempted.

Sir,
(1) From the vacancy position announced it is seen that all 116 posts earmarked for Sr.PM examn is shown as vacant (i.e) 116 x 75%=87.
(2) as rightly pointed out, PAs in the GP of Rs.2800/- are also allowed to write PM Gr.I examn whereas as per rectt. rules, PAs with GP of Rs.2400/- are only eligible for the examn.

Dear Harimohan Ji,
Please go ahead for the interest of this cadre. Sir, we may also fight as:
Almost all posts of HSG-I Postmasters of HOs or SOs and HSG-II Postmasters of SOs are lying vacant and the work is being managed by Time Scale unapproved PAs with which the main motive of the Project Arrow of Government is not fulfilling, Sir also take up the issue that all Posts of such Postmasters of HSG-I and HSG-II are merged with IP/ASP cadre. An ASP with grade pay 4600/- can man as Postmaster HSG-I and IP with grade pay of 4200/- can man as Postmaster HSG-II in an effective way rather than Time scales unapproved Postmasters. These Posts should be given to IP/ASPs cadre. when we will start hoping to snatch the posts of general line then they may leave to interfere in the matter of IP/ASP and Government may think for IP/ASP cadre. Otherwise we are still looser and not gaining any thing.

For Vikas Sharmaji,

You want that IP should always be kept at 4200 GP and posted as HSG-II.If it is assumed , what about the CAT decision which recommended 4600/ GP for IPOs.I think you are satisfied with 4200 GP and more interested to be operative staff . Pl comment.

Sir,
Good Morning.
In continuation of my 5 points, I cited some more points for information and necessary action.

1.IP/ASP is being a common cadre in the gradation list. All are eligible for Gr-B after 5 years of regular service. How only IP with 6years service are only eligible for Sr.PM cadre.Although both Sr.PM cadre and Group-B cadre will come under same gradation list as per PM cadre notification.

2.PA with 5 years become =PM-I
PM-I with 6 years=PM-II
PM-II with 5 years=PM-III
PM-III with 2 years=Sr.PM
Which means after 13 years PM-I becomes Gr-B on seniority, whereas IP after 6 years has to appear another Exam from Gr-B.Why?

3.PM cadre and LSG are having different time bound promotional aspects ,whereas calling option from LSG cadre they becomes switched over to PM cadre. How?Moreover in PM cadre notification provision of option only once for LSG cadre switch over to PM cadre. How so may times they are being called for willingness?

Sir,

It seems that no option has been obtained from the existing Gr.B officers for Sr.PM cadre. Please confirm.
